Applicants Under 18
Members under 18 years of age must have a parent present with photo ID to register.
Eau Claire District Library loans materials, free of charge, to members who live or own a business in the Eau Claire Village, Berrien Township and Pipestone Township areas. Additionally, the library has reciprocal agreements with other libraries in the area, local schools and business owners, as well as an option to purchase a yearly membership.]
Your library card provides access to thousands of books, DVD’s and other materials. You also have 24/7 access to the digital materials and resources.
ECDL does not charge overdue fees on any member type. You will only be charged for items not returned 28 days past the due date.

Resident
- Resident or property owner in Eau Claire Village, Berrien or Pipestone Townships.
- Present a government issued photo ID with correct address.
- Members aged 0-17 must have parent present to register.
- Membership length: 24 months.
Reciprocal
- Reside in areas served by Dowagiac District Library, Lincoln Township Library, St. Joseph Maud Preston Library or Sodus Library.
- Must have a good-standing home library card first.
- Present a government issued photo ID with correct address.
- Members aged 0-17 much have parent present to register.
- No ILL requests.
- Membership length: 12 months.
Flexshare
- Reside in areas served by Berrien Springs Library, Buchanan Library, Coloma Library, New Buffalo Library, Three Oaks Library or Watervliet Library.
- Must have a good-standing home library card first.
- Must present library card from home library to check out as no ECDL card will be issued. These libraries share library systems.
- No ILL requests.
- Membership Length: Expires when home library card expires.
Fee Card
- Members 18+ who do not qualify for any other member type.
- Present a government issued photo ID with correct address.
- No ILL requests.
- Membership length: 24 months.
Student / Teacher Card
- Students attending and Teachers employed at EC Public Schools will be issued an ecard at the beginning of the school year. More information will be shared soon.
